SeaHold Selected by U.C. Davis Project as Anaerobic Digestion, Biogas and BioMethane
2016 to Present
The California Energy Commission selected a U. C. Davis project for funding under an EPIC Grant Project, on the subject of “Demonstrating the Potential for On-Site Electricity Generation from Food Waste Using Containerized Anaerobic Digestion Units”. SeaHold is a part of the project’s Technical Advisory Committee.
SeaHold believes that creating more biogas projects to meet the expanding volume of organic diversion materials requires flexibility and having more digester scale options make sense. Local sources of organics may not be as easily converted when requiring long delivery trips, smaller scale plants are needed to address stranded waste organics. Having one more viable and proven option is able to assist waste organics conversion to useful fuel and energy. The technology may also prove to be another option for agricultural waste such as dairy manure in California.
North State Rendering
2012 to Present
Project: Full scale implementation of an anaerobic digester project, at a rendering plant. SeaHold® LLC’s role is to manage the procurement and installation of the biogas to CNG (compressed natural gas – vehicle fuel).
Van Ommering Dairy
2012 to Present
Project: Assist with the “reboot” of their anaerobic digester. Assist with off-take options for electricity produced, and necessary re-permitting of project.
Biodico Sustainable Refineries (with California Energy Commission support)
2010 to Present
Red Rock Ranch, Five Points, California
Project: To create self-sustainable systems for the production of biofuel and bioenergy, using local resources. SeaHold® LLC’s role is to supply the various “anaerobic digestion” technology providers for the project.
SeaHold works with some of the largest utility companies in North America on biogas to biomethane pipeline projection projects.
